Dr. Nisha Patel

Dr. Nisha R. Patel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who completed her cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She treats a variety of eye conditions, including corneal disease, dry eye, and cataracts, and offers laser vision correction and cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). Dr. Patel is actively involved in resident education and volunteers at local hospital eye clinics.

She received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University at Buffalo - Ross Eye Institute. During her training, she participated in international ophthalmology mission trips and received the ARVO Travel Grant for her research on high-intensity ultrasound exposure on ocular tissues.

Dr. Patel is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She is currently seeing patients at her practice in Reston, Virginia.
