Meet Dr. John William Josephson

Dr. John Josephson is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He serves the Loudoun and Fairfax communities at Eye Specialists & Surgeons of Northern Virginia, bringing a passion for ingenuity and advanced patient care.

He completed an advanced cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of California San Diego, followed by a high-volume laser fellowship. His training includes an ophthalmology residency and internship at Georgetown University, and he holds a medical degree with distinction in research. Dr. Josephson is an associate professor at Georgetown, where he trains new surgeons quarterly, and he is committed to serving indigent populations through medical mission trips.

Outside of practice, he enjoys basketball, tennis, and spending time with his family and church community.
