Dr. Courtney Bovee

Dr. Courtney Bovee is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist serving patients in the greater Tampa area. She evaluates and manages all stages of glaucoma, from early disease detected on routine exam to advanced pressure-related optic nerve damage. Dr. Bovee offers medical therapy, in-office laser procedures, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and when appropriate coordinates combined cataract and glaucoma surgery to simplify recovery and optimize vision.Dr. Bovee earned her MD at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, completed a transitional year at Harbor-UCLA, ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and fellowship training in glaucoma at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School. She enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and tailoring treatment plans to each person’s goals and lifestyle. Her consultations emphasize education, safety, and practical steps patients can take to protect sight over a lifetime.
