About Me

Dr. Christian Song is the Associate Director of Mass Eye and Ear's Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataract Consultation Service and a member of the Refractive Surgery Service. He is also an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Song provides comprehensive eye care, seeing patients with a variety of eye conditions, and offers surgical treatments including cataract surgery with premium lens technologies for astigmatism and presbyopia, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, laser vision correction, implantable collamer lens, corneal cross-linking, intraocular lens exchange and repositioning, and specialized treatment for dry eye disease.

He graduated magna cum laude with honors in biology from New York University and completed his medical training and ophthalmology residency at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Song then completed fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Adjunct Clinical Instructor at New York University School of Medicine before joining Harvard Medical School in 2015.

As a clinician educator, Dr. Song teaches and mentors medical students and ophthalmology residents at Harvard Medical School and has been awarded Surgical Teacher of the Year. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the Refractive Surgery Alliance.
