Dr. Beth Amspaugh

Dr. Beth Amspaugh is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing comprehensive eye care for adults and children at Physicians Eye Clinic in West Des Moines. She offers routine eye exams and treats a wide range of conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and uveitis. Her surgical expertise includes cataract surgery, laser glaucoma surgery, and eyelid procedures. Dr. Amspaugh has a special interest in family eye care and participates in clinical research trials to advance the field of ophthalmology.

Dr. Amspaugh completed her undergraduate degree at Grinnell College, earned a master's degree from Yale University, and received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. She then completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent Hospitals and Health Services in Indianapolis, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and maintains her board certification through the American Board of Ophthalmology.
